Tim Brook 3rd in Trans AM Australia series!

What a week to cap off an amazing year of racing! As many of you know, we are one of the tradies that sponsored Tim Brook in 2021 as he made his debut in the Trans Am Australia series in the Wall Racing Mustang. It has been a year of highs and lows, covid messing around with the scheduled events, car troubles and Tim finding his feet in the American muscle car with standard left-hand drive and a hell of a lot more power. We are so pumped to announce that by the wrap of race 3 at Bathurst, Brooksie slid into 3rd place standing for the championship series, narrowly nudged out of 2nd by one point by young gun Edan Thornburrow and behind the supremely talented Nathan Herne who took out 1st!

A massive congratulations to Tim, his awesome crew at Tim Brook Motorsport and Wall Racing Australia. A huge achievement to come in at the pointy end of the field in the first year of racing in this category!

The Trans Am Australia season was made up of six rounds of 3 races held at various race tracks across Australia. All the cars competing in the national series are rear-wheel drive, V8-powered muscle cars that feature iconic makes such as Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros and Dodge Challengers. The Trans Am category has drawn in some well-known names in racing such as BargwannaMoffatGriceKelly and Seton, all keen to test their skills in the new series which launched in 2020.

Wall Racing joined the series in 2021 with Tim Brook as the driver of their #38 Mustang “Penny”. At the time Brook said “It’s far fetched to think we are going to jump straight onto pole at Symmons Plains, but by mid-year or the end of the year, we want to be a threat. We want to be fighting for wins, poles and podiums.” And boy, did he achieve that goal! By the completion of the 6 rounds totaling 18 races, Tim had accumulated 1 race win, 7 podium finishes, 2 pole positions and 2 fastest lap times!

Looking forward to Trans Am series returning in 2022 and keep an eye on Tim Brook, with experience under his belt now and confidence in the car, he’ll be a keen contender again in the championship series.
