TradiePad has been a proud sponsor of Tim Brook Motorsport since 2018. In this time we have witnessed the dedication and skills it takes for Tim and the team to achieve success in a race of this calibre, the Toyota 86 Racing Series.
The Toyota 86 Racing series is a one-make series race which is held annually across six events Australia wide, supporting the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship program. The T86 series sees competitors fighting for podium positions, collecting points which ultimately decides the series winner. Each team adheres to strict car setup and works on a small budget and the support of team sponsors. It is a race that pits the skill of the drivers against one another in a thrilling, even playing field.
How does a racing car driver start his career? Well for Tim Brook it started on the Go-Kart track! Over 10 years, Tim honed his driving skills on the Go Kart Track, finishing 2nd in the NSW State Titles in 2004 and taking out the win in the Australian Endurance Championship in 2008.
From there Brook progressed into the Formula Vee class, competing successfully for many years accumulating with winning the title of 2013 NSW State Champion and 2014 Australian Series Champion.
It was clear that Tims skills as a driver were exceptional, so what would be the next challenge he would conquer? The Australian Toyota 86 Racing Series. Tim Brook Motorsport first entered the series in 2016, making quite the impression after achieving multiple podium finishes and setting a new track lap record in his debut year. The end result was a respectable 4th place in the Championship. Not bad for a rookie!
2017 saw Tim claim 10th position with a podium finish, four top five’s and the track lap record at Sydney Motorsport Park. But it was 2018 which would be Tim's year! Winning the 2018 Toyota 86 Racing Series Championship in a nail-biting finish.
Tim is pretty much living the dream! Based in Oran Park, South West of Sydney, when Tim isn't on the track, he is still never far from a car!
