The Federal Government recently announced the expansion of the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements wage subsidy program until 30th September 2021.
In less than 5 months the initial program provided financial assistance to help Australian Businesses to take on 100,000 new apprentices. The government has now committed a further $1.2 billion to generate an additional 70,000 apprentice and trainee positions in a bid to help Australia's economic recovery from COVID-19.
“By expanding this wage subsidy for another 12 months, we’ll be helping businesses to create even more jobs, further supporting our National Economic Recovery Plan for Australia.” Michaelia Cash - Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business
